Shhhhh....we don't usually reveal new artists ahead of time, but we are super excited to have Sumi Ink Club as part of our summer collection (yeah it sounds like ages from now). If you're in LA check out the SiteLA storefront on Rampart and Sunset Blvd. In the spirit of Sumi Ink Club’s commitment to a collaborative process, the topsy-turvy, detailed, collaborative drawings that cover the constructions were created at meetings held during the weeks leading up to the event. Their motto, “all ages, all humans, all styles” is embodied in their distinctive style, which through a simple format, allows for almost universal participation. In each of its permutations Sumi Ink Club uses group drawings as a means to open and fortify social interactions. Collaborative drawing sessions will be held at siteLA throughout the duration of the exhibition. | |||
